Life expectancy by economic decile

There are huge inequalities in healthy life expectancy

Women living in the most deprived parts of England live 10% fewer years than women in the least deprived areas.
They also live 69% more of their years in ill-health.

Similar data exists for men.

Preventive care has a significant part to play in both reducing such inequalities and reducing the proportion of lives lived in poor health.
