Health inequalities: life lived in poor health by economic decile

There are huge inequalities in years lived in poor health before the onset of major illness

If you look at lives lived in poor health, before the onset of major illness, the inequalities are even more stark.

Those in the most economically-deprived decile live 12 years in poor health: four times as long as those in the least deprived decile.

That, of course, comes after 18 fewer years living in good health.
